Getting Started

Tap the large pin button on the Home screen as soon as you park. ParkArmor saves your current GPS location instantly. You can optionally add a photo (e.g., your garage level sign) and a note before tapping Save.
From the Home screen, tap “Navigate Back.” ParkArmor hands off your saved pin to Apple Maps with walking directions. The handoff is instant and requires no internet connection beyond what Maps uses for routing.
After saving your spot, tap the timer icon and set your expiry time. ParkArmor schedules a local notification to alert you before your meter runs out. Notifications are delivered entirely on-device — no server is involved and no data is sent anywhere.
Long-press your lock screen and tap “Customize.” Select your lock screen, tap the widget area, and choose ParkArmor from the widget list. The widget shows your saved spot and remaining timer time at a glance.

Location & Privacy

ParkArmor uses your device GPS to record where you parked so it can show the pin on a map and hand off walking directions to Apple Maps. It requests “When In Use” access only — it does not track your location in the background or at any other time.
Never. Your parking location is stored only in local device storage. It is never transmitted to Katafract, Apple, or any third party. There are no servers, no cloud sync, and no location history retained anywhere outside your device.
No. ParkArmor collects zero data. There are no analytics SDKs, no crash reporters, and no network calls of any kind. See the full ParkArmor Privacy Policy for details.

Troubleshooting

GPS accuracy depends on your surroundings. In underground parking garages or areas with poor satellite signal, your iPhone may fall back to cell tower or Wi-Fi positioning, which is less precise. For best results, save your spot while you still have a clear sky view or just after exiting the garage ramp. You can drag the pin manually to correct it after saving.
Check that ParkArmor has notification permission: go to Settings › ParkArmor › Notifications and make sure “Allow Notifications” is enabled. Also ensure Do Not Focus mode is not silencing the alert. Notifications are scheduled locally and do not require an internet connection.
Widgets on iOS refresh on a system-managed schedule. After saving a new spot, swipe down to trigger a widget refresh, or long-press the widget and tap “Edit Widget” to force a reload. If data appears consistently stale, try removing and re-adding the widget.

In-App Purchase

No. ParkArmor is free to download. ParkArmor Pro is a one-time upgrade for $3.99 that unlocks multiple spots, the parking timer, and lock screen widget. Pay once and own it forever — no recurring charges.
Open ParkArmor, tap Settings, and tap “Restore Purchases.” As long as you’re signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase, it will be restored at no charge.
